One Fine Day

Our lucky Seventh Anniversary was AWESOME!  We couldn’t have asked for better weather to enjoy the beach for the afternoon.  We had warm temps (70+ degrees) and fun friends to hang out with too.  We packed a lunch and a ton of new beach toys (thanks to Olivia’s birthday gifts) and camped out for a few hours.  All of our kids were busy doing something different so managing all three and taking photos was a challenge but you know me, I’m a fighter! 

Jackson was his typical cautious self and took his sweet time warming up to the idea of getting wet, but once he did he loved it and didn’t want to leave the ocean.  Addison went straight for the water and screamed her lovely 2-year-old-tantrum-scream every time we tried to take her out.  Olivia ate more sand than either of my other two at her age, which is weird since she still won’t eat table food.  Brian and I enjoyed playing with the kids in the water and just hanging out.  Afterwards Brian and I had a great date night at Coach House restaurant!  It just doesn’t get better than that for me.  I honestly couldn’t be happier.  Happy Anniversary!!!

Behind me in the pic below is a sea lion that beached itself to molt.  It was protected by the forest rangers so it could do its business in peace.  It was pretty cool to see and fun to share the beach with a sea lion (or seal, not sure which). 

The waves were so small yet they still were knocking Addison down.  She loved it though and we couldn’t get over her fearlessness.

We were with three other families, (Lau’s, Bailey’s, & Herzog’s) one of which is Brian’s friend from work who happened to be on call.  So Brian wanted to make sure Hazen felt the pain of missing out on a great day to be with his family . . . by taking a family picture with them!
