Baby Girl is ONE

It’s hard to believe a year ago I was in the hospital, adoring this new little one in my arms while it poured rain outside.  (Okay, the rain isn’t so hard to believe.)  It was Memorial Day on the 31st last year so while everyone picnicked and played I labored and delivered this beautiful baby GIRL.  I was so sure she was going to be a boy, so positive of it.  Yet it was still very exciting to take home an Olivia instead of a Greyson.  (I still love that name by the way.)  She weighed 9 lbs, 2 oz (90th percentile) at birth and has only gained 10 pounds in 12 months (dropping her to the 20th percentile for a one year old).  Olivia has been an easy baby as far as her sleep schedule and temperament; she’s very loving and affectionate.  She enjoys her siblings and seems to be quite the ‘mama’s girl’ so far.  No complaints here.

Since the weather is clearing up we’ve been spending more time outside and she really likes playing in the dirt and exploring the yard.  This is where I realized she could climb stairs for the first time.  Olivia’s is sweet, and relaxed, although she can be stubborn likes to torment her siblings already (throwing puzzle pieces and death grips on toys).  Olivia’s personality is a nice balance to Jackson’s extreme quirkiness and Addison’s over-the-top girliness.  I love having her in our family and I love watching all my kids grow up so close in age.  She is pure love and happiness in my life and I can’t imagine a world without her in it.  Happy Birthday Baby Love!  Looking forward to many, many more.
