A Little More Independent

Nothing monumental, just some cute pictures of Jackson from this afternoon.
He wanted to play outside today, which usually means I have to be right there next to him watching his every move. However, today he was totally fine on his own and allowed me to work inside while I supervised him through the screen door. He started out by making trips to the tupperware drawer grabbing bowls and measuring cups then back in to ask for "wa wa" (water). When I would carry the bowl of water outside for him he would look up, wave and say "ba bye Mom".
Yep, he was totally fine without me today. So what did I do? Stood at the screen door and watched him. I guess I'm not so fine without him yet.

This is what I get when I ask him to say cheese.
Notice the cutest rainboots ever - He has to wear them at least once or twice a day!

Honestly, I can't believe how much I love this boy.

He is so cute. It's hard when they stop needing us as much but when baby girl arrives I'm thinking you'll aprreciate his newfound independence.
