Last night was the big annual open house for the local fire department. We have learned that 'big' events in a small town are not all that big in comparison to the city, but we like to see what they're all about anyway. We headed down with Jackson in tow and actually had quite a good time. We're either getting acclimated to this small town life or the Fire Department really knows how to put on a show. We bumped into several co-workers and neighbors and had fun exploring all the rescue vehicles including the airlift helicopter and coastguard boat. Dinner & dessert was free as well as face painting, several bouncy exhibits and the ride around the block in the fire truck (better known as a "wee-ooh" in our house).

He warmed up after the fire house Dalmatian gave him a high-five.
There it is! He was very excited about Nemo, but had no idea where it was until we got home and showed him in the mirror. Even after his bath when I washed it off, he kept pointing to his cheek saying "Nemo".Behind me is the fire truck we took a ride on, it's a little dark to see it well, but it was a good time and Jackson enjoyed the siren and lights at the end of the ride.
