First Annual Halloween Bash!

I'm all about traditions now that I have a little family of my own and Halloween seemed like a good time to start one. Last night we had our first annual Halloween party full of food, friends and fun. Everyone brought an appetizer and or dessert and the little ones dressed up in their costumes. I wish we could have had the whole neighborhood come, but room was tight as it was - maybe next year we'll have more space.

Unfortunately, Brian is on call this weekend and it started last night. He was in surgery until about 8:00pm. By the time he came home everyone was packing up to leave. I really missed having him there, but I appreciate his hard work for our family and know that this is part of the job.

Here are some shots of our festivities.
Jackson showing off his Bee costume! It's a little big, but still so dang cute. He loved his antennas.

Check out his little stinger sagging below his bum. This is David and his little Tinker Bell.
We have The Bee, Tinker Bell, Frankenstein, Monkey Man, & Little Stinker (our skunk). Below - The attempt to get all the little critters in one picture and smiling. Our Lady Bug was not interested in a group shot- it took some coaxing. Meanwhile the other trick-or-treaters waited patiently.
Lady Bug is considering, but really can't see the point in sitting next to all her friends when she can see and enjoy them so much better from a distance. Ah, Lady Bug's mom pulled a fast one. Look at Jessica's face - she is trying so hard not to laugh as the rest of us were totally busting a gut! . . . Look at what Frankenstein is doing to Monkey Man.
Me and my date for the night - cutest little insect ever.

"Jackson, what does a bee say?" . . . "BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"
The Beavers!
Sweetest little baby girl, Tinker Bell. We love you Lily!Tinker Bell's Mama.
Hanging out as the party unwinds.
Thanks to everyone for coming and bringing such fabulous treats. I wish I snapped a picture of the food, there was a ton and it was SO yummy. Till next year, Happy Halloween!

Bee for you know it, those little one's will be standing in a line with their little siblings in the front for a pic.
You're awesome to get that tradition started.
I love Jackson's costume. Just in case he wants to wear it again next year, we have a little bee costume 9 mo. size with ribbons attached to the wings for a little girla to wear if she wants! :0)

I bet your food spread was great too.
