"Oh Bab"
I've mentioned before in a previous post that Jackson is totally obsessed with crabs lately, which he calls "Babs". I bought him a life size one in Bandon and believe me you, it has been a hit! He has to take this bab everywhere. He even crabs at home by attaching the crab to a hose or rope and throws it over the banister and reels it back in. . . Over and over again. He LOVES it I tell you. This is the first toy that he must take with him in the tub, out of the tub, in the car, while he eats, etc. He talks about it all day - "Oh bab. Bab! Di do Bab? (when he can't find it) Blah blah blah blah, BAB! Oh Bab." And on it goes.

So before I drove my mom to the airport we had to show her the real deal. She wouldn't touch it herself and I only would with gloves. . . they stink, okay?
The first time Brian pulled up the cage there were nearly a dozen 'babs' inside. He opened the cage door and they all scrambled across the deck.
Jackson didn't want to touch them either or get too close. We got this shot by asking him to show Dad his crab. Every time a crab walked off the dock or we through it back, he would say, "Bye bye bab".
So of course my mom needed just one more souvenir to remind her of this charming little fishing town.
She bought several little crab pottery magnets and a starfish dish.
It was hard to say goodbye, but she will be back with my Dad in 6 months to see the new baby. We miss her already.

That boy is SO cute. I can just hear his little voice saying Bab!
Those pottery dishes look way cute too, with the crabs and starfish.
Oh, and LOVE the picture of the Fish & Chips Shack in Bandon. That's one of the pics I lost on my memorie stick. I'll have to copy that over-
I asked Tyson and Alyssa if they wanted to go to Disneyland or Oregon, guess what they said?
OREGON...cute huh.
Jackson's obsession with crabs is so cute! I wonder if the obsession will carry over to his eating habits. I know Mark is definitely happiest after eating a bunch of crab legs. To my surprise, he has made me a huge fan too!
I always love your blog. Your photos are so great!
love the crab story. it's only fitting that jackson would love crabs with where he lives!
and your mom is the best. it's been fun seeing her trip there through all your pictures.
hope you're feeling well!
