Almost every year my immediate family gets together for a vacation somewhere. It's usually been in Rocky Point and so it was again this year. We all traveled from near and far to make it to AZ and then on Sunday, June 1, we all drove the 4 hour drive from Phoenix, Mesa, Gilbert or Surprise, Arizona to Puerto Penasco, Mexico for our annual Vance Reunion!
We all stayed in two homes right on the beach and played in the surf & sun EVERY day! It is a very relaxing, non-productive vacation. We have different activities we can do, but we mostly enjoy just talking, eating, napping, floating, walking, swimming and playing with the kids.
This was the first year that Brian and I had a child with us, which made it all the more memorable. Jackson was a little overwhelmed by all the 'new' people who wanted to love on him, but he warmed up soon enough. He absolutely LOVED the warm water and playing on the beach every day. He never fought us about wearing his hat & sunglasses (that Brian bought for him in Vegas) & he was very cooperative during his twice daily sunscreen lathering sessions and he napped well too. I couldn't have asked for a more well behaved baby.
The picture below is of the house we stayed in. Brian and I were lucky enough to fight & win Christy for the master suit facing the ocean. We had our own bathroom and french doors to the patio. The weather was so much better than I was expecting. (We usually go in October and it's hot then, so I thought June would be miserable.) It definitely warmed up in the afternoons, but the evenings and mornings were cool and the AC was very efficient. I'll post some pics from each of the 5 days we spent there.
I was not totally myself as I took Unisom each night to help with nausea and kind fell into a zombie mode most of the day because of it. I was happy just not motivated to take great pics or do a whole lot else. Poor Brian, he finally was like "you are not yourself". I stopped taking the Unisom before the end of the entire trip to AZ, but that brought the nausea back full force! Uhggg, I'll take drowsiness over nausea any day!

What a Blast!
Family vacations are a great way to get all the cousins together and just let loose.(while the parents get to veg)
Well at least you'll have these cute pics to help you remember it all through your Unisom induced haze. I truly feel for you!!
Looks like a blast!
drowsiness over nausea ANYDAY!
I think our family is trying to tag-a-long one of these Vance reunions?!?!? I am pushing for it! How fun does that all look? FUN!!!
SO MUCH FUN! I want to go. I think it is in the plans to tag along next year! Great pix.
And yes....I am ALL about the unisom. Whatever helps!
First of all...there was no FIGHT...and you definately did not WIN anything!!! Me...being me...LET you have the room. I am such a selfless person that I decided to let MY trip be ruined to ensure that YOUR trip was all that it could be and MORE!!! Had I been in full fighting form...you so would have had the bunk bed room!!! We had such a great time and we were so glad to spend the entire week soaking up the sun with the family!!! We love you all!!!
How fun! Wish I could be at the beach with all of you! Love you all the most!
