Toes & Fingers in the Sand

IMG_1862IMG_1880

Brian was in San Diego at a PA conference for a week in May.  As much as I was looking forward to relaxing on our schedule and eating toast and cereal for dinner, I really missed having him around.  In fact I hated any down time at the house without him, so I made myself very busy.  I took the kids to Eugene one full day, we wen to friends houses, the park and the beach a lot.  The night before he came home we made one more visit to the beach.  It was after dinner but on the Oregon coast the sun doesn't set until 9 or so this time of year.  It was warm and sunny and I loved taking fun pics of the kids in the sand.  This was Addison's first time touching the sand and she seemed to be okay with it.  IMG_1875IMG_1931

Jackson is really into letters lately and enjoys tracing them whenever he can.  In the bathtub he likes to "spell animals" with the foamy letters on the wall.  The sand at low tide was perfect for spelling with his finger.  We probably spent an hour walking and stopping to spell out different zoo animals.  I have to say I was pretty impressed with his letters considering he has never written them out before only traced with his finger in books.  The word above spells 'ZEBRA'.

LOVEing her piggies curled with the cute pants rolled up. The shadow one and Jacks grasping your hand is adorable.

And with the letters...I bet Jackson would love The Letter Factory Video of Tad at the Alphabet Factory. Tyson watched it over and over at Jackson's age it gives the letter and pneumonic sound with it as well. Alyssa loves it now.

Cute photos of the kids below too.

ok one more thing. Jackson is WAY good at writing his letters by the way...Neither of my kids could write them at that age.
He's a smarty pants!
