After a year of friendship and play-dates, Traci left me. She did. She just packed up and moved back to Corvallis. All because her husband finished his internship and found a job elsewhere. As if that's any sort of reason to leave a perfectly good friendship! Okay, so we're still friends but she now lives over 2 hours away. No more showing up randomly to visit or make cookies. No more dropping our kids off at each others house with short notice. No more picking her up on the way to the mall or movie theater. No more play-dates at the beach, the park or Outdoor In. No more family dinners together. WHAT will I do without her? I miss her already and it's only been a week. Good thing she's coming back for a visit on Friday!

You guys hit it off right from the start. Good thing friendships like that are the kind that last a lifetime...even if it is not as fun when you can't hang out together everyday.
