Run Forest, Run!

It has been raining almost every day for the last two weeks. I know that rain is part of the price we pay for the beauty we enjoy all year, but I'm not going to complain when the sun comes out either. We have been so lucky to have 4 straight days of warmth and sunshine around here. Today my car thermometer read 70 degrees and although I don't know if it was quite that warm outside, it was warm enough to go barefoot on the beach and play for hours in the sand.

I was able to sit and relax while I talked to my sisters on the phone and Jackson dug holes in the sand and collected sticks. However, after an hour of that he had to run. And I mean non-stop running. This boy ran up and down the shoreline with a huge smile on his face and no worries on his mind. I couldn't help but be happy and grateful for this little person in my life.

I tried to get some pictures of his cute little expressions, but he couldn't hold still for more than 2 seconds. If you click on the left hand picture below you can see his tongue out while in mid-step. I don't know why, it just cracks me up. And doesn't his hair look so red in the sun? I love it.

There's nothing better than having the ocean breeze RUN through your hair and feeling the sand mush through your toes. AWWwww, to be free like that!

Did you take Forest to Bubba Gumps afterwards? :c)

Love, Love, Love YA!!
