SABRA'S in Town!!!

Sabra flew into to Coos Bay (North Bend Airport) late Saturday night for a relaxing FIVE day visit! I have not had this girl all to myself in over two years and I can't tell you how much I have been looking forward to her visit. Sabra is my cousin so I've known her all my life, but it wasn't until we had both graduated from college that we really became friends. We've learned that although we have very different lives, we are so much alike and have so much in common. We can talk until the wee hours of the night and we are doing just that.

Yesterday was our first full day and the only one with Brian home, so we made the most of it. We walked around Empire Lakes for an hour in the morning while Jackson napped then headed to Bandon for the traditional fish & chips by the bay. The weather was unusually sunny and warm with NO breeze. (As much as I have wanted this over the summer, we learned that the wind is actually quite beneficial; It blows away all the flys!! There were so many flys yesterday.) Anyway, the tide was low which allowed us to see all the starfish on the rocks and play in the surf. I think this was only the 2nd time since we moved here that I have got my feet in the water. It was so hot out that the icy water felt refreshing.

Brian rented some fun movies for us to watch after dinner, but our conversation didn't end until 12:30. Maybe tonight we'll get to it.

There are NO of Sabra as she was "not feeling photogenic".

Not a great shot of Jackson, but you can start to see my baby bump making itself known.

Family pictures.
He is getting so brave with holding the sea creatures. Look at that curiosity! I love that he's a coastal kid.

Today looks like another beautiful one, so were off to hike along the coast. More pics and post to come.

So glad that Sabra could come visit! Has she fallen in love with Coos Bay like the rest of us?!!! We love the pictures of Jackson with the star fish-could you send us the pictures so we could print it out. Or, maybe you could send them to Wal-mart and we could pick them up here. In fact, let me go through your blog and pick some other pictures we've wanted and you can send them all at the same time. We love and miss you guys so much!!! Love Grammy- Your pears are beautiful!!!!

Sure, I get you all those "wInTeR"
maternity clothes and now the weather has turned on you. ;c)

Love the starfish pics. And of course Jackson.

If I looked as tiny as you when I was pregnant I might have had more kids. (o.k. maybe not)
