Jackson has been sick for the last week or so, which means we have been cooped up in the house for a while. Yesterday I had had enough and decided to get out of the house and go for a little day hike. It was beautiful outside and the view was gorgeous. I took Jackson in the backpack and brought some drinks and snacks and headed into the wild. It was a short hike that opened up to some ocean views as well as a large field where I let the boy loose and we played in the sun.
I took my camera, but of course there was no one there to take our picture so I tried doing a self portrait of the two of us. Pretty funny.

have i mentioned that i think your life looks awesome? when alexander and i go for a walk we see the beautiful views of dust, cedar trees, and brush. oh yeah, we do have this thing that people in austin like to call a 'lake' but really its just a wide spot in the colorado river. PLEASE! jackson is tooo cute.
