Seals & Sea Lions

Simpson Reef Overlook
Two swimming seals.
Wednesday we headed out to the coast again as it was sunny and beautiful. I wanted my mom to see the sea lions and seals before she left and to my surprise there were hundreds more than I've ever seen before. Apparently Simpson Reef is the most popular hang out for sea lions on the Oregon coast, but in the 5+ months that I have lived here, this was the busiest I've ever seen it. It was pretty cool. Jackson entertained us by barking back at the seals, pointing and saying "whale". Afterwards we headed to Shore Acres to see the gardens and Simpson Beach. Even though the drive from the sea lions to the gardens is literally less than 2 minutes; the fog had moved in and created an overcast for our time on the beach. If you look at our pictures by the sea lions, you can see some fog way out in the background. . . it moves FAST!

We loved Shore Acre's and the beach there. Wish we could've stayed even longer.
