Jackson's New Best Friend!

My mom came to visit us about a week & a half ago and Jackson just thinks she is the stars, the moon and the sunshine! He prefers her to me for pretty much every activity we do. He follows her around and plays with her every waking moment. He cries when she leaves the room or if he has to go down for a nap or bedtime. He calls for her as soon as he wakes up from sleep and is attached at her hip until he goes down again.

It's been really great to have my mom here. She is totally taking over my mommy duties and it's so fun to see her & Jackson together. She's been whipping my rear into shape as far as getting some of my "To do" list chores done. Like hanging pictures, making labels, buying bedding, etc. You know, little things that can wait and usually do. . . forever.

I have had a busy summer with company and visiting family, and kind of feel like I've been "on the go" for months now. Since my mom will be here for over 2 weeks we are totally relaxed and laid back and just doing things at our leisure. I don't feel like I have to fit everything in to one weekend, which is a nice change. So we can go on walks, go grocery shopping, visit beaches, read magazines, watch movies, take naps when Jackson does and just enjoy our time together with no time restraints.

How neat for you to have her there for such a nice amount of time. I hate seeing my mom a weekend at a time.
Love your pics. Enjoy the lazy days with her there. I bet she is in heaven too.

Isn't it great to be pampered by mom! I'm sure you both are relishing in every moment together, it always seems to go by too fast.
