The Master Fisherman

DSC00011 Brian tried his luck again at salmon fishing and scored BIG.  He caught 3 (2's the limit) weighing over 20 lbs!   He and his fishing buddy filleted them beforehand to split the meat up, so all we had to do was vacuum seal and stick 'em in the freezer.  It was great.  Now our freezer is really full of fish.

If you have any great salmon recipes send them our way - we're going to need some variety.

In other news. . . we were given a plateful of crab cakes last night that our neighbors made from a Tommy Bahamas Restaurant recipe and they were to die for!  (I'm not a huge crab cake fan, but these were incredible.)  So Brian's fishing buddy, Cliff, lend him a huge crab pot that hooks up to a propane tank that we can use to cook the crabs OUTside. And now we have an awesome recipe to make with them.   What can I say, life just keeps getting better and better.

Wow,
I am jealous. I am glad that watching me catch all those fish over the years has finally paid off. Did you catch them in the river or the ocean? Whose boat did you use? When should I schedule me trip next year?
