Sunshine = Happiness

I had plans to clean, clean, clean today as my in-laws are flying in tomorrow for a couple of days. However, once I realized what an incredible day it was I packed the car and drove straight to the beach. Today we had one of the best days, weather wise, since I've been here! It was somewhere around 70 degrees and beautiful.
The place we went is called Horsefall Beach and I loved it. It was low tide so I let Jackson roam free. I brought no toys, no shovels or buckets only some beach towels to sit on. He didn't need any of them. He used sea shells and wood chips to entertain. Turns out with a busy toddler, you don't get to sit much either. I had such a great time watching him play and explore. He is just learning to climb, which he did a lot of on the washed up logs.
With all the great photo opportuniites for me, I don't know who had more fun ~ who cares, right?

After several hours of playing, we headed home for a nap and then right back out when Brian came home. SO FUN. Brian pulled Jackson in his snow sled and I, of course, took more pictures.

Okay, clearly Jackson is having the time of his life - But have you noticed Brian's huge smile as he pulls the sled?

I really wanted to tire Jackson out by taking him back to the beach (when he takes late naps he is usually wired until late at night). Note to self - sitting in a sled letting your dad do all the work, only tires out Dad!

My kids love the beach too. All of your pics are so gorgeous. It looks like a beautiful place to live!

yes, I would say Brian has even a little bogger smile than Jackson does. But that is the simple JOY of being a parent right there. Nothing compares.
Love the pic of Bri, Jacks and the sled walking away from the camera.
Ok and the pine trees, and the waves, and etc.

Your in-laws are going to go NUTS when they see that little guy.

I'm so jealous that the weather is nice enough for such an outing. Here in Wisconsin we are still freezing our rears off! I look forward to being able to take Thomas outside for a nice walk around the neighborhood. You'd think in April that such a wish would be easy to fulfill.

Great pictures. We definitely have to visit you guys sometime.
