I can’t even tell you how excited I was that Lesa wanted to come out and see us!! She only had five days to spare and she spent 4 on the road! So yes, we packed EVERY thing in that we could in that short 24+ hours we had together.
What did we do? We watched the sunset the first night they arrived. Saturday we woke up early, dropped crab traps, toured Shore Acres, hiked to the beach, played, hiked up to the sea lions, hiked back down to check out the tide pools, had lunch at High Tide Café, headed home to drop off the sleepy heads, Lesa & I took 3 kids up to Hall Lake to play on the dunes, headed home for dinner then back out to the beach to watch the sun set again. After every one settled down and went to bed, Lesa and I stayed up till 3 in the morning catching up! Then they left the next day to Crater Lake and home. Crazy whirlwind visit? YES, and worth every sleepless minute!
Unfortunately, we haven’t been out to Utah in a year and won’t be headed that way for a while. So we really appreciate visitors that make their way here! Our kids LOVE their cousins and I love every opportunity they get to be with them.
