We didn’t plant most of our garden but we have sure been busting our heads trying to maintain it. The previous owners did a great job and we had no idea how great until we took over. The slugs and snails have been our worst enemy! We had a poor turn out of dahlias last year and tried really hard to protect them this spring, but dang those pests are persistent! The bottom right photo is of the poor munched baby dahlia plant trying to get off the ground. We have calla lilies, tiger lilies, several varieties of lavender, blackberries, not sure what that pink flower is in the middle (it’s a HUGE bush), mint, daisies, blueberries and more flowers that I haven’t learned all the names of yet.
