One of my favorite things about living in our new house is the garden that the previous owners left us. We enjoy blueberries, blackberries and beautiful flowers as well as the lush forest backyard. Brian has worked very hard to keep up the garden and landscaping and the kids & I helped pull weeds and pick berries as they ripened. Nothing better than fresh picked, sun-ripened fruit. Now that it's almost been a full year since we moved here we've learned a lot about what's in the garden and how to take care of it. We're hoping to do better with keeping the slugs and beetles at bay next summer.
