Friday was a low-key day. We went shopping in the morning, had lunch at the park, hung out at home and ate out for dinner with Brian. I haven't mentioned that during all of Addison's naps and every night after my kids went to bed, Stephanie spent hours teaching me how to crochet. I have at least 6 friends that are pregnant and I wanted to learn how to make them all something handmade. I was a little nervous about picking it up before she had to leave on Saturday but I managed to learn 3 different stitches because of her great mentoring skills. I have to admit that I love it and work on it almost every night while Brian & I watch our shows.
Here are some random pictures from the day. The older boys enjoyed playing basketball out front and teaching Jackson how to play games on the Wii. There's a cute pic of Jackson showing off the progress of his "beanstalk" he got from primary.
So - funny story behind the pics below . . . . We wanted to show the side of the house where we walk out to the bay (for whatever reason). But since we were without a photographer we used the self timer. Stephanie set up the camera while we leisurely walked into position. Stephanie then ran the several yards down hill in her heels to make the photo a group shop. Unfortunately, she didn't quite make it in time! If only the camera kept taking pictures of the next 3 seconds - our whole group almost came to the ground as she ran into us with such graceful force. We were all in hysterics. . . guess you had to be there. We thought it was pretty funny.
And here's our happy group at dinner that night. (Brian loves having his picture taken, can't you see the joy in his eyes?)

My friends have taught me a stitch for making flowers. They are so cute for hair clips or to pin on cardigans or where ever. It's pretty addicting.
