So while I'm enjoying my last few hours of uninterrupted sleep, I hear my phone ringing and recognize it as Brian's ring. I look at the clock and it was TEN O'CLOCK!! AAHHHHH. I rush in a mad hurry to get looking glamorous for my big day and make it to sacrament only 6 minutes late. (Pretty good for me.) The counselor in the bishopric is still talking, so I think I'm good to go as I slip in the back and sit down. Right then a friend of mine is walking out with her kids and says "Hey, they just sustained you!"
I missed it. What a great start to making a great first impression. Anyway, I still get the calling only now most of the ward has no idea who I am.
Okay, into my next story. So Jackson obviously did not wake up at his usual time and slept passed 10:00 am. Brian tried to put him down for his nap twice with no success. Don't know what the problem was. I was trying to lay down myself to get rid of a headache I woke up with. Finally, after an hour of him whining in his crib, Brian brings him to me in my bed. We hung out for almost an hour and although he snuggled a lot - no nap! Urrhhh.
So I take him downstairs to give him some applesauce and check my email. He was pretty quiet after a few minutes and not answering when I called for him. (My lazy way of making sure he's not choking. Just kidding - it was only applesauce so I wasn't worried.) Anyway, I went to take a look see and the kid passed out in his high chair. I know this happens to a lot of kids, but it was a first for us, so I took a few pictures.
I love how his feet still don't touch the bottom yet.
The next exciting event in our lives is my sister, her 3 boys and my Aunt Shauna are driving all the way from Utah to visit for a week! I am so excited I have been getting ready all weekend. I love to have company and can not wait to show them the area. So I will be posting pictures of our fun adventures as they happen this week.
Want to see something funny? - Well, last year some time we started shaving Brian's head for an easy, low maintenance haircut. This way it doesn't get messed up when he wears his surgery hats and it's nice and cool. So last week we were shaving away and apparently it had been a while, because the sink started to fill up with freshly cut hair. If you know Brian, you know he is always looking for new ways to impress me with his good looks. This is what I found when he should have been cleaning up. A boy can dream right?
Personally, I prefer him all natur-al! Who wouldn't??
