My Deer Friends

So I ran into "Larry" the deer, the other day. I usually walk in the evenings, but I started exercising in the mornings again, so I set off after my workout and low and behold there he was on the side of the road eating leaves off of someones little tree. He didn't seem as eager to run from me this time. I got a much better look & lots of eye contact before he jumped the fence and carried on with his morning snack in the backyard. I stayed and watched for a while then continued on my walk. When I got to the end of the block where I turned down the hill, there was a car stopped in the middle of the street, when I looked at the driver she had a huge grin and pointed excitedly for me to look up the street (which was behind me). When I did there were the other two beauty's crossing the street like they owned the place. I watched them gracefully walk with their heads held high until they met up with Larry and graze in more front yards. Two cars and myself were stopped to watch until the deers moved out of sight. No camera this time, which was a bummer because I was much closer, but it was really cool to see these guys again. I was thinking that maybe they are a little family that lives nearby. I hope I see them again. Maybe I should be prepared with deer feed so I can get even closer. That's one thing I always envied about Disney's princesses, like Snow White, they are always so chummy with the forest animals!
