A day at Bastendorff Beach

Jackson and I set off to Bastendorff Beach to enjoy the sunshine after several days of rain this week. This is the first time I have been to the beach alone with the little guy, so I was a little nervous at first. This beach is the closest to our house (about 7 mi) & I love it because at low tide the beach is so spacious that Jackson can run for quite a while before getting near the water. The sand is really soft too, which is great for digging.

Pulling me out to sea.

You know I love close-ups

Trying to get me to chase him.

Making a run for it!

Hanging out at base camp.

Checking his shadow . . . he hasn't seen it in a few days.

Heather, I still have my doubts Brian was involved in making anything that cute. We are all really glad that your genes are the dominant ones.
